Black Tea Table with Glass Top Insert

This little table came to me in pieces and a bit tattered.  A part or two of the material was missing.  We duplicated materials where missing and made this diminutive stiletto-legged tea table whole again.
The quatrefoilic-shaped top is original "red" mahogany and inset with perfectly fitting protective 1/4-inch thick glass.
Subtle curves of the top are lined with an edge that  holds the glass in place.  A "bead" follows and accents the bottom edge of the table top.

An urn-shaped finial tops the intersecting bracing of the legs.

This table with sleak silhouette measures approximately 26 inches high by 17-5/8 inches wide, and is now available in my Decor & Furnishings Workshop for $59.  Drop me  a line if you are interested in this piece---before I take it to retail consignment.

Reconditioned Vintage Furniture Pieces Recently Sold

We've been very busy in the workshop, completing several fun pieces.  The items shown in the photographs here have all sold in the last month.   When I first post photos on this site of a completed piece that you may be interested in having, please let me know by sending me a message.  If the piece doesn't sell within a week or so,  I deliver it to one of two local consignment shops for sale.  The consignment shops generally take a commission of half the sales price.  If you purchase an item directly from me prior to delivery to the shop, not only do I save a delivery trip, I can give you a better price and do a little better myself.  But once the piece is delivered to consign, the contract keeps the item at the shop for at least ninety days.
Details on each piece can be seen on my Decor & Furnishings Workshop page.  When you see a new item that you want to consider purchasing, send me a message.  I can also do custom work.

I love hearing from you with comments and suggestions, too!

Garage/Studio Reorganization Update

Above:  Garden Supplies & Coat hooks for smocks, work aprons and cleaning items.

The reorganization of my garage/encaustic studio space is completed.  We've been busy working on projects already and that is easier with the addition of a new deep 9-foot long work bench and the relocation of a few existing items.  There is now a corner devoted to the garden tools and they are more visible and easier to access.  Previous posts with photographs that provided some ideas and fresh inspiration were here and here.  I'm sharing a few photos of my own reorganized work space in today's post.

It's a beautiful thing; not in the conventional sense of the word, but beautiful for the ease of function.

Above:  Slot for storing the step stool between work bench and multi-drawer rolling cart.  The drawers in the cart are great for storing small art frames.

Above:  Drill Press on the existing Work Bench & two-door painting tool cabinet.

Above:  Bins and shelf for spare wood storage; hooks for hanging work table and (extra) bike.  It's helpful to get things off the floor that are not used daily.

Pineapple Finial Full-size Bed

The pineapple has been a universal symbol of hospitality and welcome for many centuries all over the world.

Pineapples carved into bedposts have been a frequent use of the motif.  I rescued this old bed and reconditioned it in my Workshop.  The head board, foot board and original rails (unusual to still have the rails!) is now available at Home Again Consignment.

Marble-Top Table

I acquired this diminutive old table in a disassembled condition and missing pieces.  We have recreated  missing parts, applied new finish to the wood parts and put this gem back together again.  It's a nice petite tea table or entry parlor table or generously sized plant stand.

This table is NOW available for sale from my workshop.  If you are interested in acquiring this item at the lowest price, contact me ASAP, before I send it out to consignment.

Thanks!
