Inside the S.O.B.
I've decided to call this building the S.O.B. (Studio Out Back). This is the inside. There's work to do repairing damage that occurred during the move---nothing too serious replacing a sill plate and some of the wall sheathing that we had to saw through to attach tow straps to the structure. All the electrical wiring and devices are installed, including the new ceiling fan you see in the photos. I'm looking forward to being able to move my studio furniture inside and use it---it's a great little space!

This is an incredible space for a studio! What will you make in your studio space? I'm a fiber artist and have dreamt of building a little shed like this one to use as a studio. What are the dimensions of this building and are you able to keep it cool with the ceiling fan? Enjoy your new studio space!
ReplyDeleteNevile: I will use the space to paint encaustics, previously done in my garage, which is too dirty and difficult to cool in summer and heat in winter! The new studio is 8-1/2'x11'. I will be installing a small window air conditioner in one of the gable windows and the fan will assist in circulating the air. In winter, I will plug in electric oil radiators.
