Heavy-body Acrylic Paints (Preferred brands: Liquitex, Golden or Utrecht) at least Net. 2 fl. oz. tubes
Titanium White
Cadmium Yellow Light
Cadmium Red Light or Medium
Alizarin Crimson or Quinacridone Red
Ultramarine Blue
Burnt Umber
Ivory Black

Variety of ACRYLIC paint brushes (also used for painting with oil) :
 Purchase at least these separately---Cheapest: Studio Hog (sage green handle), Upper scale:
Rhenish Natural bristle (natural wood color handle):
White bristles #12 Flat (approx. 1" wide), #4 Filbert (approx. 1/2" wide), #4 Bright (approx. 1/2" wide), #4 Round (approx. 1/4" wide).

Charcoal pencil (The small set that includes a white pencil is good.)

*Sta-wet Palette, the small “Handy Palette” size is excellent
Brush cleaner:  Master's Brush Cleaner & Preserver
Varnish: Golden Polymer Varnish with UVLS (Gloss)
Eye dropper

Bring from home:
**Palette (preferably smooth surface, not wood.  Can be porcelain or plastic.  For the palette, you can also use plastic lids from large yogurt containers as long as they are white.)

Two cups for fresh water.  Small plastic short cream cheese and cottage cheese containers are good.  **Keep the lids for use as small palettes.

Air-tight closable “Tupperware” or “Rubbermaid” type containers with lids for storing paints and palettes (*if you choose not to buy the Sta-wet Palette)
