Lovin' shopping in the neighborhood...

Charley Hafen Jewelers - Gallery located at 1400 S. 900 E., is currently showing the work of Susan Ure through February 16. The upcoming artist, Dayle Record's show will open with a reception on Gallery Stroll evening, February 19th. While visiting Hafen's for the art work, look at the beautiful jewelry. Charley does custom designs and you will not see items like his at the big jewelry franchise stores.

While you are in the neighborhood, just down the street at 2006 South 900 East, is Second Hand Chic, one of my favorite stores for finding furnishings for my vintage house. Right in the same vicinity is the new brick and mortar location of Frolic Farm/Ginkgo Gallery. Frolic Farm had a regular booth at the Park Silly Market and proprietor, Rita now has a brick and mortar shop where she can keep the herbs growing and selling through the winter. She has expanded with Ginkgo Gifts and Gallery at the same location and has wonderful creative items available, many of which are hand made by local artists. Next Friday, February 19th Gallery Stroll evening there will be a wool spinning demonstration with a gorgeous New Zealand made spinning wheel, as well as the opportunity to mingle with some of the artists and artisans who have work available for sale at the gallery.
